Stephen Farrell, co-author of the book ”Hamas: The Islamic Resistance Movement”, will be speaking at the Centre for the Advanced Study of the Arab World, Edinburgh on Tuesday 11 May. Stephen Farrell is a foreign correspondent for The New York Times, working in print and video from Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan. He also runs the NYT’s At War blog in the field. He joined the NYT in 2007 after working for The Times of London in Iraq, the Middle East, Afghanistan, India and Pakistan.
In 2010 he co-authored the book ‘Hamas: The Islamic Resistance Movement’, with British academic, Beverley Milton-Edwards. Beverley Milton-Edwards is Professor in the School of Politics, International Studies and Philosophy at Queens University, Belfast. She is the author of books such as Contemporary Politics in the Middle East (2006) and The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict: a People’s War (2009).
