Public Seminars on Iraq in Manchester

We are pleased to welcome you to a week of public events which will address political, historical, and cultural issues about Iraq. The events are to take place during 10 - 14 March 2008, and are organised by the Centre for the Advanced Study of the Arab World (CASAW) at the University of Manchester. Our aim is to mark the 5th year of the war in Iraq by bringing together a number of writers, academics and activists whose work focuses on Iraq. These events are in solidarity with the Iraqi people’s resistance and continuous struggle against the forces of occupation and extremism.

For any queries, please contact Dr. Dalia Mostafa (Middle Eastern Studies, ), or Dr. Michelle Obeid (Anthropology, ). For more information about CASAW, please see its website: http://www.casaw.ac.uk
