CASAW Visiting Fellow - Dr Malak Rouchdy
Dr. Malak S. Rouchdy is currently Visiting Fellow with the Centre for the Advanced Study of the Arab World (CASAW) at Manchester University. She is Assistant Professor of Sociology at The American University in Cairo and a board member of Cairo Papers in Social Science, a quarterly publication, AUC. Her work is inscribed in the fields of sociology and Middle East studies, with special reference to Egypt. Her research covers the areas of food politics and culture, gender studies, collective memory, development and poverty, rural relations and education.
Dr Rouchdy will be giving the following talks at the CASAW partner institutions:
