In partnership with the Centre for the Advanced Study of the Arab World, the School of Government and International Affairs, Durham World Heritage Site and the Arts and Humanities Research Council, we are pleased to sponsor A Middle East Spring in Durham: a season of events dedicated to both cultural and political themes related to the Middle East.
You are most warmly invited to join us in this rich programme and to experience the vibrancy of the contemporary Middle East in its several captivating dimensions.
EXHIBITON: ‘Traces and Revelations’ by Mohammed Joha and Hazem Hard. This exhibition aims to provoke debate as to the nature of the relationship between artists’ work and their life-journey and experience through exploration of the work of these two exciting artists over the last 10 years. This exhibition is organized in association with the Arts Canteen. This London-based arts group aims to explore artistic relationships between the Middle East and Mediterranean regions.
